Morning Has Broken

As sung by Cat Stevens
Lyrics by Eleanor Farjeon

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

This song really inspires me, praising God early in the morning. Giving me hope to start a new day and making it right.

Making Him the first priority in everything we do. No matter what are the consequences we face, let God be the first choice. No matter how awful is yesterday, just start your day with a simple praises and thanksgiving to the Lord.  Throw away all of your doubts, problems and worries.  Instead, pray and trust Him with all your heart.

Here is a verse I’d like to share:

Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Seek God and praise Him early in the morning.
To God be the Glory forever!

****Okay here is it, please leave a comment on what is the first thing you do when you wake up, then some insights after you read this. And be honest….. :)*****

“My Reflection on Philippine Preamble”

PREAMBLE

“We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a just and humane society, and establish a Government that shall embody our ideals and aspirations, promote the common good, conserve and develop our patrimony, and secure to ourselves and our posterity, the blessings of independence and democracy under the rule of law and a regime of truth, justice, freedom, love, equality, and peace, do ordain and promulgate this Constitution.”

The Philippine preamble is very ideal. If every single Filipino would make this as a pedestal and put every word in the heart and live with it, for sure there will be peace and prosperity in our nation.
It is stated that we, the Filipino are sovereign and imploring the aid of our Almighty God, therefore if God is with us who can be against us? There is no need for us to crave for more and be greedy for power. There’s no need for us to step on others right just to be sovereign. Let us all show our Sovereignty by our good works and intention without any façade. Let us all take the opportunity to help and give mercy to the unfortunate for us to be called Sovereign.
We, Filipino should conserve the effort, and the suffering of our ancestors just to gain freedom. Let us not fight with each other, instead we should give love and not war.  We should live by the common law for it projects the social order that enable us individually to attain the fullest development economically, politically, culturally and spiritually.

A Prayer for Haiti Staff of Compassion International

Heavenly Father, creator of heaven and earth, we praise Your holy name!
We thank you for all the blessing you showered upon us.
Thank you for the gift of life, family and friends.
Thank you for everything Lord!
We pray Lord that you will continue sending your Holy Spirit
to our brothers and sisters in Haiti who are suffering from the tragedy.
Bless those people especially the Haiti staff
who are rebuilding the destroyed community that Your glory will be shown.
We pray for the innocent one, give them smile in their faces.
Bless us all Lord God so that we may become blessings to others
and that we all continue spreading the good news,
to love one another and make this world a better place.
This is all for Your glory Lord.
This is all we pray in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ.

 Amen!

Now is the TIME!

tick tack tick tack...NOW IS THE TIME!

The time for change
The time for self discipline
The time to look and appreciate
The time to listen
The time to sympathize
The time to love
The time to forgive
The time to be happy
The time to play
The time to make friends
The time to get involved
The time to wait
The time for everything
And most especially,
The time to praise and worship the LORD!

Don’t waste your time; use it appropriately for you will never know its essence until you lost it! If you can do it now, do it now! Don’t wait for tomorrow for sometimes in our life tomorrow may never come! Regret with a sigh may come at the end.

We know sometimes wishes and dreams may not be granted, but remember that God has something better prepared for us at the right time, for there is time for everything as stated in the scripture.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-15

"There is an appointed time for everything.  And there is a time for every event under heaven ~
2 A time to give birth, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to tear down, and a time to build up.
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
5 A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing.
6 A time to search, and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep, and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace.
9 What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?  10 I have seen the task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves. 11 He has made everything appropriate in its time.  He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one's lifetime; 13 moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor, it is the gift of God.  14 I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him.  15 That which is has been already, and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by."

To God be the glory in every TIME we consume in this world!
To God be the glory forever!

Amen!

Death!

At the hospital room
Where bliss is lost
Where life is void
Appears in the day light
The uninvited visitor
That hunts the innocent soul
When the forbidden door is open
When the time has come
When no one can stop
When there is glow in the dark

All you can hear is a loud cry...

Needs Prayers and a Helping Hand...

Thesa Mae P. Banduy need prayers and a helping hand.

She is a 15 years old girl, presently having a problem, a big problem.

She is sick, but it’s not an illness that needs neither a medicine nor a doctor. It is an illness that when she takes it for granted she will be swallowed by herself. When she will not fight for these trials in her life maybe…. We don’t know, we never can tell.

She is a 4th year high school student and will graduate this coming March 2011. They came from a middle class family. Her father is a tricycle driver. She is the eldest of her three siblings. She is a member of United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) Tagbilaran City, Bohol and an active member of the Christian Youth fellowship (CYF). She has many ambitions in life. They started to reach the first step of her dream but suddenly a big storm comes in their lives.

Her mother suffered from headache and stomach ache. They bought her to the hospital. It was like that the whole universe run unto them when they know that their mother has a brain tumor and it needs an operation.  Her mother cannot stand anymore and cannot do the household chores, cannot work for the aid in sending them to school.

In this situation, Anthony her younger brother stopped schooling because of financial problem.  There is also a big possibility that she will stop schooling too, for the same reason.  It would be alas if she cannot continue her study for she is now in her final year in high school.

Thesa needs our prayers, moral, financial help,  generosity and kind heart in order to help her continue her studies.  Even a small amount is a big help for them.

With your help, may the Almighty God bless you with a million folds. Always remember that “God loves a cheerful giver” and “He never fails”.

·         If you are interested in helping Thesa in financial matters  just contact me or any of the Mt. Olives CYF Officers specifically the treasurer or auditor (Melanie Ann Tabia and Bethelou Piel).
